About this app

App for measuring Reverb Time in octaves or average in a really easy way.

Steps:
1. Press START
2. Clap your hands after the countdown (measuring step)
3. See results

To achieve optimum results, it is highly recommended to try to locate the device away from reflective surfaces and clap stick farther from the critical radius, so that the sound reverberated outweighs the direct one.

I liked the app for it's consistency. I am not sure if the measurements I got were correct but they seemed to be the reverb for a fully furnished room with a laminate wood floor that was built around 1970 was 2.4 sec. I think that is reasonable. It is important to note you must use a consistent source of noise to get correct measurements. I would recommend putting some instructions on how to use it as a button off to the side. Nevertheless I appreciate the usability.

Easy to use, but little documentation. Does it measure RT60? Regrettably, results are differ between mobiles. E.g. Pixel 6a: 0.5s vs. OnePlus 7t Pro: 0.75s @1kHz

Hi Roman! 🙂 I use the T20 in the app. It is open-source, by the way, you are able to see the code directly: https://github.com/soygabimoreno/RT I would take into account, different devices will have different microphones. And for sure, I would try to use exactly the same trigger signal. Greetings!

Very lean and simple app, I would appreciate to be able to save results for later comparison, and to see some graphs that would explain the obtained result.
