About this app

Welcome to the Communities space, a mobile application that allows patients to share experiences with other patients. The app works like a chat application and contains different categories to chat and share experiences according to your interests or concerns: aspects of the disease, diet, exercise, emotions, personal relationships, body image, sexuality, etc.

This application was started by the ICOnnecta't Digital Health Program of the Catalan Institute of Oncology, with the aim of facilitating support and help between patients with the same disease. The application was initially presented to breast cancer patients. The success of the tool has exceeded expectations and now the app's scope of use has expanded, with a lung cancer community also existing and including, among others, a community of pregnancy and postpartum, managed by the Sexual and Reproductive Health Care units (ASSIR).

The app provides a safe and anonymous virtual environment where people with different pathologies participate exclusively, and is supervised by professionals from different therapeutic fields.
