Not good for Android users I started using Appigo's Todo years ago when I had an iPhone 3GS and I've always been a pro user. However, I see that Appigo doesn't care for its Android version. Since when I migrated to Android I've been using Todo less and less. Today I even use Google Tasks more than Todo (thanks to GTasks), even though it doesn't have much features. Now I found TickTick, a simple task management app with a good set of features and that, unlike Todo, gets updated by its developers. Goodbye, Todo.
ABANDONED: Please stop the auto notification for subcribing! My wife has had the app for years on her iPhone, so when I saw it for Android I got it right away. I really like the way it handles and organizes tasks as well as the GUI. I don't want the subscription service. Not only do I not want the services it provides, but the app keeps on notifying me that I need to renew. Very annoying. Aside from that, it needs continued development to put it on par with its iPhone version. I'll put my review up to 5 stars once the notification thing is fixed.
Great app, but has gone stale. This is/was, by far, the best ToDo app, when combined with the cloud. I had this way back when I had an iPad and was thrilled when they released the Android version. But.... Elvis has left the building. No updates in almost a year. I look at their website and hear crickets. No talk of enhancements. No talk of Android Wear compatibility. So goes the saying, "Innovate or die". My cloud subscription comes due in October. If no action until then, I'll be looking for a replacement.
Very disappointing, and almost unusable. I have used ToDo for a number of years on my iPhone/iPad. Switched to Android and find the same app is barely functional. 1. In order to sync I can no longer use DropBox as my free cloud server but have to pay a £12 yearly subscription to ToDo's own server. 2. I can no longer move tasks around within a day - I either have to add an exact time to them or accept the alphabetical (?) order they are listed in. 3. Postponing an event is no longer a case of simply holding my finger down on an item and then selecting "tomorrow"/"next week" Instead it takes 5 separate "clicks" to switch a tasks due date. And so on and so forth. A ToDo app should be fast, convenient, and lists should be completely configurable in terms of the order events appear in. ToDo Cloud fails at all of this, yet charges a substantial yearly subscription for the privilege. This is odd as the non-cloud version is fine. Essentially this is a stripped down version of what was previously a more fully featured, but free, service.
Abandoned older customere Have the paid version of desktop and ios and feel the companies change in model completely ignores their users who had already paid for other services. Sadly their decision means ill have to do something else on my android. Fyi great app but not worth 20 a year
Finally, the absolute best ToDo app is available on Android! I used this app years ago on an old iPod Touch and the only regret I had when I switched to Android was that they didn't have an Android version of this app. I made do with others, bit this is the only ToDo app I've found that works the way my brain works. I can put in a project, then start listing tasks that go with it. The only thing that would make it better would be if I could buy the app outright, not just join the cloud which I don't need. UPDATE I rely on this app every single day. But when I upgraded my phone there is NO WAY to transfer the data from my old android to my new one except by purchasing a "premium" subscription to the cloud service. I could then upload the data from my old android to the cloud and download it to my new one. Except the tasks uploaded SIX TIMES and I had to go through each project and delete the extra tasks. And I haven't experienced such a laggy website since dialup. It was an annoying and painful process and I"m still going to have to clean up all the old tasks (from the original trial subscription from two years ago). MAKE AN APP I CAN PURCHASE OUTRIGHT FOR THE ANDROID!
We are renaming Todo Pro to be Todo Cloud to better describe the app and Todo Cloud service.
- Added the ability to receive in-app shared list notifications and accept them in the app.
- Fixed a critical issue with sync that could cause the Todo Cloud app to get into a cycle that would eat up the battery on a device. We recommend all users update to avoid the problem.
