About this app

The Freadom app has been built to nurture your child’s will and skill to read. It is an adaptive mobile reading platform that helps parents with children (ages 3 -15) in getting them to learn to read in English by instilling a daily reading habit.

Freadom provides curated stories from top publishers (organised by levels), exciting activities, quizzes and daily positive news. The app uses an AI ready recommendation engine to smartly match users to grade-appropriate content. The app is the perfect English learning companion to thousands of primary schoolers.

Backed by Research - Brain research has proven that language acquisition is the fastest and easiest in early years of 3-15 and significantly drops after that. Our app helps parents maximize this opportunity.

Built with 10 years of primary and secondary research, Freadom first locates the users reading level and then navigates them to the desired level, basis a proprietary reading scale. We use an AI ready recommendation engine to match users to the most relevant content.

Embedded with an assessment layer, the stories, news and activities on Freadom help us keep tabs on reading levels and help parents track their child’s progress plus find a variety of age-appropriate content at their fingertips.

Freadom is working with Stanford’s Human Centered AI Department as a research partner with focus on language acquisition via app.

A PERSONALIZED LIBRARY - Every child gets a personal feed of stories - books, videos, audios - based on his/her reading level and interest powered by a sophisticated recommendation engine.

READING LOG - Children can keep track of their daily reading with smart logs and time tracking.

ACTIVITIES - 10 minutes activity packs & monthly reading challenges sorted by interests are offered.

FACTS AND NEWS - This section offers grade level appropriate bite sized news stories that are inspirational & aspirational along with a flash quiz.

GROWTH REPORT - A skill-based report is available for parents and children to keep track of progress.

Upgrade experience is pathetic. The app was awesome an year before. Then,they came up with the concept of giving summer break and upgradation. It never completed on time. After upgrade, the classes are shifted to 1 class/week from 3 classes before. Customer support has become non existent. Since there is only 1 class per week, there is no progress in children. Many of my friends have opted out. If someone is looking to ruin a great idea by poor execution, they can check with freadom team.

Using the app for close to 2 years...recently the app keeps crashing, the guided learning activities do not work properly and now to login also having problems. It says enter OTP but OTP doesn't come. Trying to call customer support but to no avail. What was once wonderful app is now pathetic just like the customer support.

My daughter loves reading, watching and listening to these stories. Recently we have bought a chromebook for her studies. I thought it will be more convenient to read stories from a big screen. But there is no support for the app in Chrome OS. We both felt Very disappointed. Request the team to add chrome Os support to the app 🙏🏻
