On September 18th, Hamburg's churches invite you to the joint ecumenical cultural festival for the 18th time. This year's motto is "Come as you are".
You are welcome with us, no matter who you are and how you are, without reservations or requirements. The motto refers to the biblical words “Come, for everything is ready!” (Luke 14:17) and “Come and see!” (John 1.39) and thus expresses the open, inviting character of the night of the churches .
It is not yet foreseeable how the corona situation will develop in the next few months and under what conditions the Night of the Churches will take place. However, it is clear that the largest ecumenical festival in the north will take place: in compliance with hygiene measures and with a mixture of digital and analogue offers.

The largest ecumenical festival in the north has taken place once a year since 2004 and usually has between 70,000 and 80,000 guests at over 100 venues. Last year there was a film that gave insights into the different facets of church life in Hamburg and bridges the gap to this year's analog-digital hybrid event.
