The Holy Qur’an, reading Hadar, narrated by Warsh on the authority of Nafi’, in the voice of reciter Abdullah Al-Muhammadi
Translated by Imam Nafi:
He is Nafi bin Abdul Rahman bin Abi Naim, Al-Madani, one of the seven reciters, from the third class after the Companions, trustworthy, and originally from Isfahan. He was black in color, bright-faced, good-natured, and had a good sense of humor. He recited to seventy of the followers in Medina. He recited Al-Muwatta’ to Imam Malik, and Imam Malik recited the Qur’an to him, and he ended up leading the recitation in Medina. His student Qalun said about him: “Nafi’ was one of the purest people in character and one of the best people in reading. He prayed in the mosque of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, for sixty years,” and Saeed bin Mansour: “I heard Malik bin Anas say: “The recitation of the people of Medina is Sunnah.” It was said to him: Is reading useful? He said: “Yes.”
Nafi devoted himself to teaching the Qur’an in Medina, and sat in the Prophet’s Mosque reading and teaching for about seventy years, until he died, may God have mercy on him in the year 169 AH.

He is Abu Saeed Othman bin Saeed bin Adi Al-Masry, nicknamed Bursh due to his extreme whiteness. He traveled from Egypt to Medina, and recited several seals for Nafi’, then returned to his country and became his sheikh of recitation, and the foremost among the people in knowledge, and he was proficient in Arabic and intonation with a beautiful voice. He was a master of what he narrated. He died - may God have mercy on him - in the year 197 AH.
Reading Hadar:
It is reading quickly, taking into account the rules of Tajweed. It is one of the three levels of recitation, and Hadr is considered the best of them. It is completely different from reading investigation, as when Ibn Mujahid was asked, “Who is the most readable of people?” He said: Whoever achieves understanding, and whoever says the best of them is investigation with contemplation, even if it is with little recitation, because the purpose of the Qur’an is to understand it and act on it, and its recitation and memorization is only a means to that, then all ranks are permissible, and each rank has its status, investigation for teaching, Hadr for study and recall, and rotation.
