Web radio (also known as Internet Radio or Online Radio) is a digital radio that transmits via the Internet using technology (streaming) audio/sound transmission service in real time. Through a server it is possible to broadcast programming to the live or recorded. Many traditional radio stations transmit the same FM or AM programming (analog radio wave transmission, but with limited signal range) also over the Internet, thus achieving the possibility of global audience reach. Other stations transmit only via the Internet (WEB RADIOS). Brazil has not yet fully adopted this radio format, but it is only a matter of time due to the growth in internet users today. The cost of creating a Web radio is much lower than the cost of creating a traditional radio.
