About this app

Atom Note is a local-first note app for people who don't want every record squeezed into the same template.

BUILD YOUR OWN STRUCTURE:
- Create a category for anything you want to track.
- Add list items inside each category.
- Each item holds a title, free-form contents, and an icon you pick.

CUSTOMIZE EACH CATEGORY:
- Pick a background color.
- Choose a font style for the category header.
- Choose an icon that matches the topic.

ATTACH PHOTOS:
- Snap a photo with the camera or pick one from your library.
- Up to three photos per item, in the order you add them.
- Photos stay attached on every device that opens the same item.

ATTACH DOCUMENTS:
- Add a txt, doc, docx, or pdf file to any item.
- Up to three documents per item.
- Open a document with your device's built-in viewer. Everything stays on your device.

LOCAL FIRST:
- All data lives on your device.
- No account, no sign-in, no background syncing.
- Export a backup as a single JSON file and restore it on another device — fully offline.

LOCAL BACKUP AND RESTORE:
- Export every category, item, photo, document, and setting into one file you can save anywhere.
- Restore from that file on the same device or another one.
- Restoring replaces the current data, so it's a complete bring-over.

CLEAN, RESPONSIVE LAYOUT:
- Minimal home screen with category cards and item count badges.
- Layout adapts to phones and tablets.
- Card text and icon contrast adjust automatically to your chosen background.
