About this app

Foxmark is an ebook reader for the books you already have: EPUB, PDF, MOBI, AZW3, Word documents, comics and more, all on one shelf, all read offline. No account, no ads, no tracking.

Pick a folder and Foxmark finds every book inside it, with its cover, title and author. Open a book from your downloads or a file manager and it goes straight onto the shelf. Your place is kept in every book, so you can pick up where you left off, even in aeroplane mode.

EVERY FORMAT, ONE READER
• EPUB ebooks and PDF documents
• Kindle-format MOBI, AZW3, AZW and PRC files (DRM-free)
• Word DOCX, OpenDocument ODT and FODT
• Comic books in CBZ, with swipe and pinch-to-zoom, and right-to-left manga
• FB2, HTML, Markdown and plain text
Each one gets the same reading themes, fonts, search, highlights and notes.

COMFORTABLE READING
• Day, night, sepia and black themes, and a brightness that goes below your phone's own lowest setting for reading in the dark
• Text size, line spacing and margins of your own, with Literata, Instrument Serif and OpenDyslexic for readers with dyslexia
• Pages or continuous scrolling, a page curl or slide, and volume keys to turn pages
• A home-screen widget for the book you are reading

FIND YOUR WAY
• Search inside the book you are reading and jump to any result
• An English dictionary built in, offline: tap a word to look it up, or send it to a translator or dictionary app
• Bookmarks, highlights in five colours, underlines and notes, exported as text whenever you like
• A table of contents for every format, Kindle and Word files included

READ ALOUD
• Any book read aloud by your phone's speech engine, with the screen off and controls in the notification

KEEP YOUR LIBRARY
• Backups to a folder you choose, automatic or on demand, so a new phone does not cost you your highlights and progress
• Reading streaks and a daily reading goal

FOR FAMILIES
• Kids mode behind a PIN: choose which books a child can see and keep the rest away

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no sign-in, no sync
• No advertising, no analytics, nothing that tracks you
• No storage permission: Foxmark reads only the folders you pick in Android's own picker, and you can take that access back at any time
• Books are opened and converted on your phone; nothing is uploaded
