About this app

Should I buy it? SpendCheck answers with a number: the real cost of what you are about to buy,
measured in hours of your life, before you pay.

πŸ’° YOUR TIME HAS A PRICE
Enter one thing, your net annual income, and the app works out what a month, a work day, an hour and
a minute of your time are worth. From then on every price reads differently: those shoes don't cost
120, they cost nine hours of your work.

βœ… MAIN FEATURES
βœ… The real cost of any purchase in work hours and work days
βœ… The GROSS amount you must earn to afford it
βœ… Opportunity cost: what that money would be worth in ten years
βœ… Cost per use β€” the number that exposes unused subscriptions
βœ… A 0 to 100 score on every purchase, with transparent rules you can open and read
βœ… The calculations work offline, with no account and no bank connection

🎯 THE SCORE
It is not a moral judgement. It weighs what kind of purchase it is (does it give money back or take
it away?), how you are deciding (on impulse? to be seen? in instalments?), how heavy it is on your
income and how often it repeats. A small bad purchase does not score well just because it is small.

⏳ PUT IT ON HOLD
The 24-hour rule and the 1% rule: above a certain amount the purchase goes on hold and the app
reminds you when it is time to decide. The urge is usually gone by then.

πŸ““ DECISION DIARY
Record what you bought and what you skipped, and watch what you kept grow. Subscriptions can be
marked as cancelled, and the app tells you how much you freed up per year.

πŸ“Š INSIGHTS
Where the money goes, how many life hours you spent this month, what your recurring costs really cost.

πŸ“š 8 FINANCIAL LITERACY LESSONS
Hourly price, asset or liability, opportunity cost, subscriptions, lifestyle creep, good and bad debt,
emergency fund, the 24-hour rule.

πŸ”’ PRIVACY
No account, no sign-up, no bank connection: your spending and your income stay on this phone and are never sent to us. The app is free and supported by Google AdMob ads, which may use device identifiers: you are asked for consent on first launch and can change it any time from Profile.

🌍 Available in 12 languages: English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish,
Turkish, Russian, Chinese, Arabic.

Free, no subscriptions, no sign-up.

Educational app. It does not provide financial or investment advice and recommends no products.
Projections are simulations using a hypothetical rate that you choose.
