About this app

Turn your phone into a remote for your Android TV or Google TV. No accounts, no ads, no setup hassle: connect your phone and TV to the same Wi-Fi and the app finds your TV by itself.

REMOTE
• D-pad and OK, Back, Home, Menu, Power
• Volume up/down, Mute, Play/Pause
• Touchpad mode: swipe to move, tap for OK

KEYBOARD
• Type on your phone and the text appears on the TV as you type
• Search and log in to apps without hunting letters with arrow keys

APPS
• See the apps installed on your TV, with their icons
• Search them and tap to open
• Can't find one? Search the Play Store on the TV straight from your phone

GAME CONTROLLER
• Use your phone as a console-style gamepad: two sticks, D-pad, face buttons, L1/R1, L2/R2, Share and Options
• Motion controls:
– Steer: turn the phone like a steering wheel, for racing games
– Tilt: tilt the phone like a tray, for rolling, flying and walking
– Aim: turn the phone to look around and aim, like gyro aim
• Each phone is its own player, so friends can join with their phones

EASY CONNECTION
• Finds TVs on your Wi-Fi automatically and reconnects next time
• First time only: type the code shown on the TV, or select Allow
• TV not found? Enter its IP address
• Works with TVs that support the Android TV remote service, and with TVs that have network debugging (ADB) turned on

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No accounts, ads or analytics
• The app talks only to your TV over your local Wi-Fi; nothing is sent to us or anyone else
• Light, dark or system theme

Requirements: an Android TV or Google TV device on the same Wi-Fi network as your phone.
