The ghost overlay
Your previous photo sits faded over the live camera. Move until you match it, then shoot. Drag the opacity from 0 to 100% when the ghost is too strong or too faint. You stay in control of the framing, and auto capture can fire the shutter for you the moment you are lined up. That is the whole trick, and it is why your gym progress and body progress actually line up shot to shot.

Auto capture
