About this app

Do you actually know your IQ?

It rarely gets measured at school or work, yet it comes up in conversation all the time. This app measures your IQ in five minutes and shows which domains you are strongest in, on a five-point chart.

■ One number alone tells you very little

IQ 108. On its own, that number says almost nothing about you.

Alongside your IQ, this app scores five separate domains.

- Pattern reasoning - spotting rules and regularities
- Numerical reasoning - handling relationships between quantities
- Spatial reasoning - rotating shapes in your head
- Logical reasoning - drawing conclusions from conditions
- Memory - holding on to what you have just seen

Two people can both score 108 and still think very differently: one carried by pattern reasoning, the other by logic. The radar chart makes that difference visible.

■ See where you stand in the distribution

Your score appears on a normal distribution curve. Average IQ is 100, and about 68% of people fall between 85 and 115. You can see exactly where you sit and what percentile you reach.

At the high end, the display switches from "top 0.1%" to "1 in N people", so the number means something you can picture.

■ Check the reasoning behind your result

A score you cannot account for is a score you have no reason to trust.

The result screen shows your correct answers and a domain-by-domain breakdown, and you can review why each answer is what it is. Because the basis for the score is fully open, you can take the number at face value.

■ Repeat it and the estimate sharpens

A single measurement always carries noise. Your concentration that day, or a run of questions that happen to suit you, moves the number.

Several sets are available, so you can take it again on another day. The calendar shows the days you tested and the line chart shows how your scores move, so the underlying level emerges once the noise averages out. Domain scores settle into a stable pattern as well.

■ How the test is built

- Five minutes. Within the time limit you can go back and change any answer
- Tap the question number to open a list and jump straight to anything unanswered
- This mirrors how paper-based intelligence tests work: being able to review your answers measures your ability more faithfully
- IQ 130 and above (roughly the top 2%) requires solving the harder questions. High scores are not handed out

■ Who it is for

- Anyone curious about their own IQ
- People who want a cognitive profile, not just a number
- Anyone weighing study or career options around their strengths
- Families and friends who want to compare results

■ Main features

- Your IQ in five minutes
- Radar chart across five domains showing cognitive strengths and weaknesses
- Normal distribution graph showing your position and percentile
- Review the reasoning behind every question
- Calendar and trend charts to look back on your results
- Multiple sets so you can retake it on another day
- Works without an internet connection
- Available in English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, German and more

■ Please note

Scores in this app are estimates intended for entertainment. They differ from intelligence assessments administered by medical or professional institutions and cannot be used as a diagnosis or certification. This app is not affiliated with any organisation or established test.
