About this app

Familiar streets, your friends' faces — through a fisheye lens, everything becomes a world of its own. The shot that makes everyone laugh, the clip that stops the scroll, straight from your phone.

Mobolu. is a fisheye camera and editor that bends your photos and videos as a real fisheye lens would, using the same projection formulas, one photo at a time. Photo effects and video effects, all in one app.

■ Choose a lens, and your world goes round
A round fisheye that frames the scene in a circle, a full-frame fisheye that bends to the corners, a nineties camcorder fisheye with black corners, a gentle wide angle. The samples show your own photo, so you can compare them as they are.

■ Hold the scene in a crystal ball
As if a crystal ball or glass sphere were set down in front of a softly blurred scene: Crystal shows it the right way up, Glass upside down like a real lens ball or marble. City lights, flowers and travel views look like a scene from a storybook.

■ Turn a photo into a tiny planet, or a swirl
Wrap travel views and group shots into a tiny planet, a little world of their own. No 360 camera needed: it works with the photos you already have. Or turn it inside out into a tunnel, twist it into a swirl either way inside a circle, or pinch the middle like a concave mirror.

■ Drag to put the subject in the middle
Drag the photo and the fisheye's center follows your finger. Pinch to zoom, double-tap to center it again.

■ Fine-tune the bend
Strength and swirl, zoom, circle size, oval, color fringes at the edge, and what fills the frame around the circle: black, white or blurred. Everything follows your finger in real time.

■ See the fisheye before you shoot
The in-app camera shows the live picture through the lens, for photos and videos (videos on Android). On phones with an ultra wide lens, 0.5× takes in even more. Photos go straight to your Photos app; videos open to edit and save as soon as you stop.

■ Videos, bent all the way through
Put the same lens and color over a whole video. Dance, pets and travel clips get the punch they deserve. Writing keeps going even if you switch apps. (Videos on Android.)

■ Bring a single photo to life
Finish a photo, then tap Animate. The lens pushes in, spins like a rotating fisheye, sways or pulses, and one still becomes a short clip that grabs attention. Choose a motion that suits the lens, short or long. (Android)

■ Colors that set the mood
A nineties camcorder look, soft film colors, black and white, and more, plus brightness, contrast, saturation, warmth, fade and vignette. Keep the looks you like and finish more photos the same way at once.
