Dice Diner is a quiet, thinking game about running a tiny fantasy restaurant.
Roll five ingredient dice. Cook what needs cooking. Serve each guest before
their patience runs out. Then decide what to keep for next turn.
There is no timer and no reflex test anywhere in the game. A turn waits as long
as you do, and you can put your phone down mid-decision and come back to the
same board.
HOW IT PLAYS
Every turn you roll five dice, each showing an ingredient or a kitchen tool.
Hold the results you want. Reroll the rest, twice at most.
The interesting part is what the tools do to their neighbours. Heat cooks the
die next to it. Pepper cooks both neighbours at once. Freeze carries one good
ingredient through to your next turn. The Oven reaches across the whole row.
Where a die sits changes what you can do with it, so a promising roll is still
a puzzle.
Matching is exact, and that is the whole game. Bread wants cooked Dough. A
salad wants raw Leaf. Soup arrives ready to serve and cannot be cooked at all.
Getting the right ingredient in the wrong state is the mistake you will learn
to see coming.
Made a mess of it? Undo takes back your last move, right up until you reroll.
WHAT IS IN IT
- Sixteen die faces: six ingredients and ten tools that change how a turn works
- Twelve recipes, from a two-leaf salad to a three-part feast
- Three chefs, each with a different set of dice and a different set of recipes
they can reach
- Eight between-service upgrades that reshape your dice, never your stats
- Three difficulties, including a Cozy mode with more room to make mistakes
- Six journal challenges that unlock cosmetic dice palettes
A full run is three services and takes roughly fifteen minutes. It saves after
every single action, so there is no such thing as losing progress.
THE HONEST PART
The whole restaurant is free. Every die face, all three chefs, every upgrade,
every difficulty and every ending. There is nothing behind a paywall and
nothing to grind past.
- No adverts of any kind
- No energy, no lives, no waiting timers
- No paid rerolls, revives or second chances
- No loot boxes and no random purchases
- No accounts and no sign-in
- No analytics, no tracking, and no advertising ID
- Works completely offline
Two optional cosmetic items are for sale, and they change only how the game
looks: a ceramic finish for the dice, and a night-shift look for the diner.
Neither touches a roll, a reward or a guest's patience. You never see a
purchase prompt while you are playing.
BUILT TO BE READABLE
Every state on the board is shown three ways at once: an outline, a small
badge, and a word. Nothing important is carried by colour alone, so the board
reads the same whatever your eyes do with reds and greens.
Every action is a tap, then a tap on the target. There are no drag gestures to
learn or fight with, touch targets are large, and every die, order and control
is labelled for TalkBack. There are switches for reduced motion and for
skipping animations entirely.
YOUR SAVES ARE YOURS
Everything the game stores stays on your device. You can export a save to a
file and import it back, and Reset All Data shows you exactly what it will
delete before it does anything.
