Core Features & Field Mechanics:
Immediate Trench Capture: Record discovery data on-site while still inside the excavation box. Snap live artifact photos or choose existing images from your gallery to establish an immediate visual record.

Precise Spatial & Stratigraphic Context: Capture location information using your device's GPS hardware to auto-fill exact Latitude and Longitude values. Pair your coordinates with structural excavation fields: Sector, Square, Layer, and Depth (cm).

Standardized Descriptive Classification: Register structural artifact properties quickly using specialized descriptor chips and fields:

Material Typing: Assign tags for Ceramic, Metal, Bone, Stone, or custom materials.

Preservation Condition: Assess item survival across Whole object, Fragment, or Damaged indicators.

Contextual Data Fields: Append raw data specifying the Find type, a concise Short description, and immediate field Interpretations.

Automated Sequential Numbering: Maintain absolute cataloging consistency. The app handles chronological numbering based on your target project parameters. Configure custom prefixes (e.g., EXP) inside the configuration window to watch numbers automatically scale sequentially (e.g., EXP-0001, EXP-0002) with every new entry.

Resilient Offline Architecture: Work anywhere without network dependencies. The interface fully supports remote offline recording, storing all metadata locally in a secure on-device database until you return to base camp.

Sync Queue Matrix: Manage data streams easily. Track your records via live main-screen counters split between Unsynced entries and Synced entries. Once you hit cellular network coverage or Wi-Fi, open the Sync Queue to review, verify, and upload your field entries to the centralized project database.

Academic Report Builder: Transition rapidly from field documentation to scholarly publishing. Use the integrated Reports engine to assemble well-structured field briefs and asset catalogs formatted for scientific journals and institutional archives.

Global Project Templates: Establish a universal configuration rulebook for your crew. Pre-define your Expedition name, set baseline prefix variables, and adjust automated value templates to speed up repetitive entries.
