I've reviewed this app before, but its time for an update. Love it... I have it installed on my devices and my fire sticks. They scan my network storage drive and its like a personal Netflix for my video content. I absolutely love it. I'd like to see a way to change the "sort by" title of a film so that movies in the same series show up in the right order. And for some reason the trailer links won't play on fire tv stick. Other than that, so far the app is perfect.
I recently upgraded my phone to a Samsung galaxy note 4 and now whenever I play a video the subtitles (sub/idx) are humongous even when it's set up to play them the smallest size possible. The video and audio quality is still very good. The only way to get them to play correctly is to convert videos to a higher resolution (1280x720 ) at least which devours my micro SD card. If this problem was to be addressed it would definitely get a higher rating. MX Player Pro plays them correctly and Archos use to.
Just purchased. Its fantastic given the fact i dont need plex anymore. BUT: 1- needs other type of skins(e.g. netflix type) on android tv 2- when i use mx player as player, it doesnt get subtitles downloaded in the main menu, although subtitles are downloaded to the very same folder 3- the leanback recomendations plays media through original player although i have changed it to mx player (on android tv) 4- in the app's main menu it does not recommend movies and tv show episodes based on history of whatched media
The latest update has rendered the app a giant paper weight on my desk ... nothing is working ... no videos play
