Spot Odd is an observation puzzle game built around one clear task: find the tile that does not match the rest of the grid.
Tap Play on the start screen to begin. The game opens into a simple play screen with a 3×3 grid, a visible timer, round progress, and the main run stats.
🎯 CORE GAMEPLAY
Each round shows nine tiles arranged in a 3×3 grid.
Eight tiles share the same visual style, while one tile is slightly different.
Your task is to find the odd tile and tap it before the countdown ends.
The odd tile appears in a random position each round.
A correct tap moves the session forward and adds points.
A wrong tap removes one life.
If the timer reaches zero before a tile is selected, one life is also removed.
There are no hints during a round. One tap decides the result for that round.
Each session includes eight rounds.
Complete all eight rounds while at least one life remains to finish the run. If all three lives are lost before round eight is completed, the session ends early.
⏱️ TIMER AND LIVES
Spot Odd gives three lives at the start of each session.
Lives show how many mistakes remain.
A wrong tile selection costs one life.
A timeout also costs one life.
Each round has its own countdown timer.
As the level increases, the round timer becomes shorter because the timer is tied to the current level.
The timer does not drop below eight seconds.
This keeps a visible window for scanning the grid before selecting a tile.
📈 LEVELS AND SCORE
Spot Odd uses levels during the session.
The level increases after every two correct picks.
Correct answers add points based on the current level.
Each correct pick gives ten points plus the current level number.
During play, the screen shows:
• Score
• Lives
• Level
• Time
• Round progress
Round progress shows which round is active out of eight.
A horizontal progress bar appears below the round label.
🔷 TILE SHAPES
Spot Odd changes tile visuals as levels change.
Some levels use diamond-shaped tiles.
Other levels use circle-shaped tiles.
The odd tile uses the same shape category as the rest of the board.
The difference is a subtle visual change inside that set, not a completely different shape category.
This keeps each round focused on careful comparison across the grid.
📊 ROUND REPORT
When a session ends, Spot Odd shows a summary screen called Round Report.
If all eight rounds are completed with at least one life remaining, the report title shows Sharp Eye.
If all lives are lost before the session is completed, the report title shows Try Again.
The report lists:
• Final score
• Level reached
• Correct picks
• Mistakes made
• Highest recorded score
Tap Play Again to start a new session.
A new session starts with score reset, three lives, level one, and progress back to round one.
🎨 VISUAL STYLE
Spot Odd uses a dark screen layout with bright tile graphics and readable stat chips.
The grid sits in a raised panel at the center of the screen.
Color accents highlight score, lives, time, and round progress.
The layout keeps the board, timer, and stats visible without adding extra screens during play.
📱 SCREENS AND CONTROLS
Spot Odd uses three main screens:
• Start screen with game logo and Play button
• Game screen with 3×3 grid, timer, stats, and round progress
• Round Report screen with session results and Play Again button
Controls are tap-based.
Tap Play to start.
Tap the tile you think is odd during a round.
Tap Play Again after the report to start over.
There are no swipe controls, drag gestures, keyboard inputs, or extra control systems.
Spot Odd focuses on one loop: start a session, scan the 3×3 grid, find the odd tile, manage three lives, complete up to eight rounds, and review the Round Report after the run ends.
