About this app

Send photos, videos and menu boards from your Android phone or tablet to a TV running Placard. Placard Remote is the companion for Placard digital signage: prepare your playlist, arrange the content and transfer it over your local Wi-Fi network.

REQUIRES PLACARD ON YOUR TV
Search Google Play for "Placard: Digital Signage TV" and install it on a compatible Android TV or Google TV device. Placard Remote requires Android 8.0+. Keep Placard open on the TV while receiving content and playing your display. Your Android device and TV must be on the same local network for pairing and transfer.

BUILD YOUR PLAYLIST
• Choose photos and videos using the Android media picker.
• Put menu images, product photos and announcements in the order you want.
• Set each photo's display time.
• Choose fit or fill, plus cut or fade photo transitions.
• Prepare large images and supported videos for playback on the TV. Video playback requires Placard Pro on the TV.
• Add weekday and time-window schedules when the TV has Placard Pro.

PAIR, SEND AND PLAY
Find your TV on the local network and enter the pairing code displayed by Placard. Send the playlist and follow the transfer progress. After a successful import, content plays from the TV's own storage, so your phone or tablet can disconnect.

Transfers continue when you switch apps or turn off your phone's screen. Keep your phone connected to the local network and Placard open on the TV. Enable notifications to see transfer progress outside the app.

If Wi-Fi drops during a transfer, reconnect and tap Retry. Completed files are skipped; the unfinished file is uploaded again. The TV keeps its existing playlist until the replacement is successfully imported.

FREE COMPANION, OPTIONAL PRO ON THE TV
Placard Remote is free and has no ads or in-app purchases. The TV app's free tier supports one playlist with up to 10 images. An optional one-time Pro purchase in the TV app adds video, more playlists and schedules. There is no subscription.

MADE FOR LOCAL BUSINESS DISPLAYS
Update a cafe menu, salon price list, shop promotion or waiting-room slideshow while you are on site. Supply your own images and videos; Placard Remote arranges and sends them. It is a companion for Placard rather than a general TV remote or screen-mirroring app.
