About this app

ARE iptv is a media player for Android TV. It ships with no channels and no content of its own - you bring your own playlist or provider account, and it turns that into a fast, tidy experience built for a remote control.

LIVE TV WITH A REAL GUIDE
Channel groups, search and favourites, plus a full EPG with programme search, a live now-marker and a cached guide that opens instantly. Channel changes are tuned to hold a single connection to your provider, so zapping does not trip the concurrent-connection limit on your line.

MOVIES AND SERIES
Posters, seasons and episodes, resume where you left off, continue-watching across the whole app, and optional enriched metadata.

RECORD LIVE TV
Record the channel you are watching straight to the device and play it back from the Recordings screen.

MULTI-VIEW
Watch two or four channels at once in a grid, and promote any pane to full screen.

BUILT FOR THE REMOTE
Every focusable element has a visible focus ring. D-pad navigation is paced so a held key scrolls predictably instead of overshooting. Text fields do not ambush you with a keyboard as you scroll past them. A corner mini player keeps a channel running while you browse.

SUBTITLES AND AUDIO
Embedded subtitle and audio tracks, online subtitle search, subtitle size, colour and edge styling, audio-track switching, playback speed, and an audio-sync control for streams that drift.

PARENTAL CONTROLS
Lock the app behind a PIN, and hide or blur adult categories so they never appear in browsing, search or the guide.

MAKE IT YOURS
Light and dark themes with accent colours, a Home screen you arrange yourself, a customisable player HUD, and 24 languages with full right-to-left support for Persian and Arabic.

PRIVACY
Your playlists, passwords and viewing history stay on your device. There is no server that could receive them, and credentials are stored encrypted. Anonymous crash and usage diagnostics are optional and can be switched off on first run or later in Settings.

NO ADS, NO SUBSCRIPTION, NO ACCOUNT
Free to use, with no advertising, no in-app purchases and nothing to sign up for.

WHAT ARE IPTV IS NOT
It is not a content service. It provides no channels, films or series of its own, and it has no relationship with the providers whose streams you choose to play. You are responsible for having the right to access whatever you point it at.
