Just terrible. Couldn't get my (Dutch) passport page picture to be uploaded. No clear indication how to hold it - find out the hard way. It does not allow one to align and click 'ok' but decides for itself when the image seems good enough. Once in 10+ attempts I got close and it complained about some MRZ line not being sufficiently readable - it was. Did not offer to read NFC chip in passport either. Trick seems to be to hold camera in anticipated focus position, but even then... no joy. Stuck.

It took me numerous attempts to scan my ID document. Error messages included: - Bad internet connection (I have stable Wifi and a 2Gbps connection). Needed to switch off Wifi. - Bad document quality; I switched from ID card to passport. - Technical error; no resolution but trying again. Scanning my face finally worked after I put my phone on a stand. Never received an answer from the help desk. I could finally register, but I am not impressed.

Updated 09.05.2024: I have been contacting support with the same question, every 3 months for about a year now, but always get the automatic response that support is too busy. So just in case someone at YRIS actually reads comments: Please add "Rose Hill, Mauritius" to your list of cities. -- Could not find city of birth .. ( original review deleted to make space for update)
