ATC Separation Calculator is a didactic and operational support tool designed for Air Traffic Controllers working in Approach (APP) and Area Control Center (ACC) environments. It helps users apply precise separation techniques through an intuitive, module-based interface that assists with longitudinal and lateral aircraft separation strategies.

The application is structured into three core modules, each focusing on a specific separation method commonly used in ATC operations:

🟦 1. Speed/Delta Module (APP & ACC)

Calculate required follower ground speeds to achieve or predict separation deltas over a given distance or time.

Includes a dedicated Mach sub-module for en-route (ACC) separation using flight levels, temperature, and wind inputs.
Modes supported:

• By distance (NM)
• By time (min)
• Predict delta from current speed and spacing
• Mach ↔ GS conversion (ISA-based formulas)

🟩 2. Vectors Module

Gain or recover separation using lateral vectoring techniques.
Supports:

• Single-leg vectors
• S-turn maneuvers (two legs)
• Combined maneuvers (Vector + ΔV)

Calculations include separation gain and lateral offsets, based on trigonometric vector projections over time or distance.

Compute gain and offset based on the difference between aircraft headings.
Handles scenarios with equal or different speeds and allows for integration with speed adjustments.

Useful in both tactical and planning contexts.
