About this app

Aros Tools brings together simple everyday tools in a single app. Today it includes a QR and barcode reader and a task organizer by space and category. You don't need to create an account, and it works offline.

CODE SCANNER
• Reads QR and barcodes with your camera.

• Recognizes the content and offers the appropriate action: open a link, open the bookmark on your phone, write a text message or email, view a location on a map, or copy the text.

• Before opening a link, it shows you the full address, with the domain highlighted, and warns you if it's not encrypted, if it's shortened, if it uses special characters, or if it points directly to an IP address.

• Codes with potentially dangerous schemes are not opened: you can only copy them.

• On Wi-Fi networks, it displays the name and security type and allows you to copy the name and password.

• Optional history, disabled by default. If you enable it in Settings, it saves each scan with its date and time and allows you to search and delete it. WiFi passwords are never saved in the history.

TASKS BY SPACES AND CATEGORIES
• Organize your to-dos into spaces (Home, Work, Grocery, Study, etc.), within each space into categories, and within each category into tasks.

• Start with ready-to-edit examples: Home, Work, Grocery, Study, Travel, and Event.

• Mark tasks as completed, rename them, or delete them. Completed tasks have their own screen.

• Search within your spaces, categories, and tasks.

• Collapse or expand all categories within a space with a single tap.

• Hide spaces and categories and unhide them whenever you want. If desired, protect hidden items with a 4- or 6-digit PIN. The PIN is a privacy lock; it does not encrypt data.

SIMPLE AND CLEAR
• Minimalist design with light mode, dark mode, or system mode.

• No registration or accounts required.

• Your spaces, tasks, and history are saved on your phone.

• You can delete all your data from Settings.

PERMISSIONS
• Camera: Used only to read QR and barcodes.
