Fall asleep on the ride, not past your stop. Malapit Na is a free GPS destination alarm for jeepney, bus, UV Express, and train commuters in the Philippines. Pin where you are getting off, choose your ride, and a full-screen alarm wakes you about 500 m before you arrive by default—even with the screen locked, even on silent, and even with no data, because the alarm only needs GPS.

Made for everyday Philippine transport:

• Distance presets for jeepneys, city buses, UV Express, provincial buses, and trains
• An OpenStreetMap-based map with bus and jeepney terminals labelled where OpenStreetMap has them, so you can find the stop you actually mean
• Offline map packs: download your area (about 40 MB) or your route (about 95 MB) and the map still works with no signal
• Saved stops for places you use often
• A visible ongoing notification while a ride is active
• English and Filipino app languages

Your active ride, saved stops, settings, and ride history stay on your device. Malapit Na has no account, no ads, and no Fri Vei As analytics or backend. Map tiles come from OpenFreeMap, a free public tile service with no API key and no account, and downloaded map packs stay on your phone until you delete them in the app. Opening a Google Maps short link sends that one request to Google so the shared coordinates can be read.

Background location is used only while you have an active destination alarm. Cancel the ride or dismiss the alarm to stop tracking.
