SightTape2Go is a professional-grade Android ballistics application designed for archers to calculate, manage, and generate highly accurate sight tapes. It bridges the gap between physical bow setup and complex trajectory physics, providing a field-ready tool for competitive and recreational shooters.

Core Functionality
The application’s primary purpose is to map "sight marks" (the physical settings on an adjustable bow sight) to specific distances. Because every bow setup is unique, the app uses a sophisticated Trajectory Engine to estimate arrow velocity and drag coefficients based on user input.

Calibration Engine
The app supports four distinct methods to calibrate the trajectory model:
Specs-Based: Estimates performance using IBO speed, draw weight, draw length, and arrow weight.

Speed & 1-Mark: Uses a chronographed speed and a single confirmed distance mark.

Two-Mark: Calculates the velocity and drag by analysing the vertical drop between two confirmed distances (e.g., 20 and 60 yards).

Three-Mark: Provides the highest precision by segmenting the trajectory into two zones, accounting for nuances in arrow drag over long distances.
User Experience & Specialised UI

The "Drum" Range Finder: A custom-built, interactive scrolling wheel that mimics a physical sight dial. Archers can "roll" the drum to find exact turns and clicks for any distance on the fly.

Generated Sight Tapes: A dynamic list view that generates a full reference sheet of sight marks (e.g., from 2 to 100 yards) with customizable increments (0.25 to 10 units).

Sun Mode (High Contrast): A specialised UI toggle designed specifically for outdoor use. It switches the app to a pure black-and-white, high-luminance theme with thickened borders and removed transparencies to remain perfectly readable under direct midday sun.

Data & Connectivity
Bow Profiles: Users can save multiple bow configurations (e.g., Target vs. Hunting setups), each with its own calibration data and locked settings.
Cloud Sync: Integrated Google Drive support allows archers to export their configurations to an XML backup and import them onto new devices, ensuring their data is never lost.
Localised Units: Full support for both Metric (meters, m/s) and Imperial (yards, fps) units, switchable at any time without losing data accuracy.

State Management: MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel) powered by Kotlin Coroutines and State Flow for real-time UI updates during scrolling and calculation.

Persistence: Custom XML serialisation for robust data portability and local file storage.
