The ABA Score Card is a highly polished, feature-complete, and responsive mobile-first companion application designed for ABA, IFAA and 3D style rounds. Written to conform meticulously to both the Australian Bowhunters Association (ABA) and the International Field Archery Association (IFAA) scoring routines.
This digital scorecard replaces cumbersome paper sheets with an intuitive, durable tactile system that operates flawlessly offline in remote ranges. Below is a comprehensive overview of the design concepts, structural features, and capabilities compiled in this application.

1. Archery Formats with Built-in Rules
The app houses a centralised registry defining specific scoring thresholds, arrow caps, and target counts:
• ABA 3-Arrow: Built with stop-on-first-hit rules. Calculates descending series values (1st Arrow: 1A, 1B, 1C (20,18,16) Arrow: 2A, 2B, 2C (14/12/10) 3rd Arrow: 3A, 3B, 3C (8/6/4), MISS (0) and closes target scoring as soon as the last arrow is scored.
• ABA 1-Arrow & 2-Arrow: Supports single-arrow shots A, B, & C (20,18,16,0) or dual combined-arrow scoring for the 2-Arrow.
• IFAA Field & IFAA Hunter: Standard 4-arrow rounds featuring standard custom ring points (X, 5, 4, 3, or 0 per arrow) up to a maximum of 20 points per target.
• IFAA Animal: Incorporates clear distinctions between Kill and Wound zones (1st: 20/18, 2nd: 16/14, 3rd: 12/10, or 0).
• 3D Round: Offers sub-format selection supporting either ABA 3-Arrow or ABA 1-Arrow rules. Option for special rounds 14’s, 12’s, 11’s and selectable.
• Custom Practice Round: Empowers shooters to curate practice sessions ranging from 6 to 30 custom targets, up to 10 arrows per end, and custom point configurations 0 to 12 points.

• Smooth Target Carousel: A scrollable navigation header that displays progress indicators, while automatically bringing the active target card into optimal view.
• Multi-Archer Parallel Flow: Facilitates rapid scorekeeping for entire group squads by allowing seamless toggling between archers on the exact same target card.
• Auto-Advance Logic: Automatically transitions focus to the next shooter or the next target once target arrows are checked.
• Built-in Rule Books: Allows archers to pull down format-specific rules instantly during a shoot.
• Optimised Tactile Feedback: Integrated custom haptic engines trigger immediate vibrations on tap events, differing in duration when shifting shooters (medium buzz) versus finalising targets or sessions (double-pulse long feedback).
3. Deep Analytics, Leaderboards & Progress Trajectories
Completing a round opens an interactive retro-modern analytical hub:
• Interactive Podium: Displays standard leaderboards ranking group performance, highlighting individual archer profiles, gear divisions (e.g., Barebow, Bowhunter Compound, Modern Longbow), and cumulative totals.
• Visual Trajectory Charts: Renders custom vector progress charts mapping target-by-target running histories to help archers audit focal fatigue.
• Granular Performance Statistics: Computes advanced metrics including standard Skill Rating percentage, Hits/Misses split, Perfect Spots landed, and Pro-Ring completions.
4. Hard-copy Exporting & Sharing Protocols
• On-the-fly PDF Generation: Creates beautifully formatted, printable electronic scorecards with high-contrast grids containing target-by-target arrow distributions, athlete metadata, and total performance signatures.
