An augmented reality detective story that will immerse you in the region's history and introduce you to the magnificent village of La Creusaz.
Meet in La Creusaz, at the top of the cable car, to begin the adventure! Before heading there, we strongly recommend testing your device's compatibility with the game by trying the free tutorial. Since there isn't much signal coverage in La Creusaz, you must unlock the game before going up. Bring your phone's battery fully charged, as the game uses a lot of resources.
Unless you plan to go up on foot or by bike, check the cable car schedule at www.verticalp-lesmarecottes.ch. Depending on how fast you go, it takes between one and three hours to complete the game, so be sure to arrive early enough to get back down before closing time. Avoid very rainy days, as your device won't like getting wet, unless you have a teammate holding a large umbrella. It is not possible to play the game in winter.
To play, you will have to walk to various points around La Creusaz. You may have to return to the same location several times. Depending on your efficiency and speed, this can take between 30 minutes and 1 hour. Remember to wear sturdy shoes.
The game is designed to be played in small, competing teams, with one device per team. At the end of the game, each team will receive an efficiency score to decide between them. There's no point in running; the score will be calculated solely on the players' investigative abilities. The ideal number of players per team is two, so you can clearly see the screen and collaborate. However, since there is also a lot of audio content, with recorded dialogue, it is possible to play with up to four players per device. In this case, some players will have to simply listen and analyze.
Remember to bring a fully charged battery and to have unlocked the game before the cable car ride! Before you travel, try the tutorial at home to test your device's compatibility.
