About this app

Shoot it perfectly straight, every time.

Photographing something from directly above is harder than it looks. You hold the phone over a flat lay, a product, a document, a 3D print — and there is no way to tell whether you are truly overhead or a few degrees off. You find out later, when the edges are skewed and the photo just looks subtly wrong.

WaterLevel Camera puts a real spirit level over your viewfinder. A bubble floats on the dial, the exact tilt is shown in degrees, and the whole frame turns green the moment the phone is square to what you are shooting.

TWO MODES
• Top-down — phone flat, lens pointing straight at the floor. Flat lays, food, products on a table, artwork, 3D prints, coins, anything you want photographed from directly above with no keystone distortion.
• Straight-on — phone upright, lens pointing at a wall. Documents, paintings, whiteboards, posters, notice boards.

AUTO SHUTTER
Hold the phone level and steady and it takes the photo by itself, with a countdown sweeping around the dial. No more trying to press a button and stay perfectly still at the same time.

SET YOUR OWN PRECISION
Choose ±0.5°, ±1°, ±2° or ±3°. The green ring on the dial is drawn at whichever you pick, so getting the bubble inside the ring is exactly the same thing as being within tolerance.

HOW IT WORKS
Your phone's accelerometer measures gravity, and gravity fixes tilt absolutely — no drift, no calibration, no re-zeroing before each shot. The bubble floats to the high side like a real spirit level, so it always points at the corner you need to lower. And when you are still moving the phone, the app tells you to hold still rather than showing a number it cannot trust.

ALSO INCLUDED
• Tap anywhere to focus
• Rule-of-thirds grid
• Torch, for close-up work where the phone shadows the subject
• Photos saved straight to your gallery, in their own album

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No ads. No accounts. No sign-up. No in-app purchases. The app does not request internet permission at all, which means your photos physically cannot leave your phone — that is enforced by Android itself, not just promised in a policy.
A spirit level in your camera. Shoot perfectly square top-down and straight-on.
