Tabithread gives a solo trip a small purpose: notice more along the way, capture what you felt, and keep it as a story you can return to or share.
Plan places loosely on a map. On the road, keep both planned stops and unexpected detours with a line and, when useful, a photo or location. Afterward, revisit what you recorded and shape only the trips you want to share into a travel journal.
GIVE THE NEXT TRIP A SMALL PURPOSE
Save hotels, restaurants, sights, and other places that catch your interest. You do not need a minute-by-minute schedule: group them by day, check the map and route, and arrange the order that makes sense. Add prices when useful to keep an estimate for the trip.
CAPTURE WHAT YOU FELT, RIGHT THERE
Post a thought like a quick note between stops. Add photos and optional location so you can remember what happened and where.
KEEP THE PLAN AND THE DETOURS
Open your plan to see which places have not yet been added to the timeline. Add a planned stop to the timeline, or keep an unexpected shop, view, or pause as a new place in the same trip.
TURN THE TRIP INTO A STORY
When the trip ends, choose from timeline posts, the itinerary, places, photos, and a map to build a journal. Remember the trip in the order you lived it, including both the plan and what changed along the way.
PRIVATE FIRST. SHARE WHEN YOU WANT
The timeline is private to you. Publishing a journal is optional, and you can make it private again at any time. Keep it for your future self, or share the URL with someone else.
ITINERARY ARTICLES AND ITINERARY COPYING
Publish a route with your reasons for choosing the stops and tips for the journey. Browse and search public itinerary articles in Explore. When the author allows it, Copy itinerary creates a trip of your own. Follow it as it is or adapt it along the way.
Where available, a count and list link to published journals from the author’s original trip and trips made by copying the itinerary. You can edit your itinerary and itinerary article during and after the trip too.
