Messages recorded by users are stored in cloud servers and transmitted at frequencies between 2.4–5 GHz, similar to standard Wi-Fi. The system calculates the relative position of celestial bodies using Earth’s rotation, time, and transmitter location to direct the message appropriately.

Each signal travels at the speed of light (≈186,000 miles/second) and continues outward indefinitely, similar in principle to the long-range radio transmissions used by NASA’s Voyager and Pioneer spacecraft.
