About this game

Welcome to Pizza Hero, the exciting new shoot 'em up roguelite that puts a delicious twist on the genre! In this game, you'll play as a brave pizza who must defend the world from an invasion of enemies.

As you battle your way through the game, you'll have the opportunity to choose from a variety of different toppings that will grant you special abilities. For example, selecting pepperoni will give you a grenade, allowing you to deal splash damage. Or, if you're feeling saucy, you can choose blue cheese to create a pungent parameter around your pizza, damaging any foes that come too close.

Pizza Hero is a swarm survivor, meaning that you'll need to use all of your skills and strategies to take down waves of relentless enemies. With randomly generated levels and power-ups, no two playthroughs are ever the same. Unlock and follow recipes to create an evolution of toppings.

Updated after developer response: Pretty generic bullet hell/rouguelite game mechanics with a very silly and unique twist in the aesthetics. I don't know why it amuses me so much to be a pizza with a dog companion, but it does. The progression is relatively slow, but the ads aren't very intrusive and it's fun to watch the sprites.

It won't save my progress. Whenever I reinstall the game all my progress is gone. I also checked the data folder and it doesn't store any save file there either. That means it's pointless to play the game if all progress is gone when you reinstall it or install on a new phone. If I am missing something dev, please tell me and I'll change the rating and the review.

The game is superfun and the monetization perfect, with 1 IAP you get rid of ads and all the boring stuff, way to go! That said though, the technical execution is far from perfect. The game tends to hang from time to time. When you close and reopen, the save game is somehow working bad, the souce level is reset and sometimes you're offered to level up (?). Also, there's a bit of a lack of documentation on what does what. Veery good, but can def improve.
