About this app

Basic Sight Words is designed for students who need extra instructional time to practice sight-word recognition. They participate in activities using the words you select from the 245 most frequently used Dolch List words. The large on-screen text is accompanied by professionally narrated speech; you can select a male or female voice. There are four activities: Identify, Multiple Choice, Match, and Voice Recorder.

Settings allow you to customize activity options, such as when and whether to display the word (on the front of the card), the word in a sentence (on the back of the card), and when speech is enabled.

Activity results are saved to track the learner’s progress. Print worksheets and word lists for activities away from the computer.

The Lite version is free and allows you to try the program before buying. This Lite version gives access to the four activities with a limited selection of the included words.
