Chess Challenger is a full-featured chess app for players of every level, from complete beginners to seasoned experts.

Choose from a wide range of AI strengths, from 20 kyu for first-time players up to 6 dan for a serious challenge. The rank labels (8 kyu and above correspond to typical club-level ratings) give you a clear goal to aim for as you improve.

■ Online & friend matches
Compete in rated online matches and climb the rankings, or play casual games against friends.

■ Learn and improve
Review your games move by move with a built-in analysis that highlights your best and worst moves. Study a collection of classic openings — from the Italian Game and Ruy Lopez to the Sicilian Defence and Queen's Gambit.

■ Part of the Challenger Series
Your account, profile, and friends are shared across the whole Challenger Series, including Reversi Challenger and Gomoku Challenger.
