Gems: Gems add unique abilities to heroes. Think of frost attack or bouncing projectiles. 'Spin' for them between rounds. They add randomness and an element of luck to every game as they are reset between stages.
Loot: while destroying enemies there is a small chance to receive a random piece of equipment that permanently increases the powers of a hero.
Spells: Cast a powerful spell based on the results of your ‘spin’.
