As everyone else has said making the pricing less transparent is a big mistake for a company that has set out to attract a user base that is savvy about rates and usage. I too am starting to look for a provider that listens to the customer base and is not afraid to admit when they have made a misstep.
Well done, one way to lose loyal customer base is to do what you have done...
One of the best things about this app & Powershop's approach in general was the way it helped educate people about energy & usage patterns. I'm so disappointed that it's been dumbed down to the point that you can't even see your forecast energy estimate in kWh. Your customers are savvy. Please don't treat us as though we are too stupid to be able to understand. I just updated to the latest version, but it still doesn't tell me how many kWh I've prepurchased & it still doesn't tell me ¢/kWh for powerpacks. Still no response from Powershop!!!!
I thought I was alone when I got frustrated that they had removed the per unit price. My power usage fluctuates a lot depending on the weather (heating/cooling), so the per day usage estimate is never useful. I complained too, but they didn't seem to get it.
You have wrecked it this app. Just like everyone else has said, removing the details and information (per kW price) that used to be there is just nuts. It does seem deceptive. Very disappointed.
They used to be great. But the new update just made it not user-friendly. I can't see the usage or forecast in kWh...
~ Added “Pack Rates” to the Powerpack Detail screen. These are the effective rates for the Powerpack being viewed. We also added “Your Rates” and “Base Rates” to this screen. Rates are shown for the current month.
~ Updated the Rates table (accessible from the menu) to only show the current month rates.
It is an application that can be backed up easily, the data such as S! Mail or phone book that is saved in the SoftBank smartphones available.
