Ratings and reviews

The updated app is disappointing. It is so frustrating when the new version doesn't work as well as the previous one did. They took away the slider for playback speed and now there are just a few limited choices, one of which is 50% speed which is ridiculous. I like to set my audiobooks at around 80% for when I'm listening to fall asleep, but now that's impossible. Is there any way to go back to the previous app version?

Pros: The books I was looking for were an average of $7 less then on Audible (which is where I purchase most of my audio books). Cons: the damn app keeps crashing on me. In the last 30 minutes I had to restart the app 17 times. You can't have ANY other app running on your phone if you are using this app. I contacted them yesterday and they told me that they were aware of issues on the Samsung 8 models. I told them I had a Galaxy S7 and they told me that there are no reported issues on that model and it should be working fine... ITS NOT WORKING FINE! IT KEEPS CRASHING! it's driving me crazy. At this point it's worth the extra $7 on a book in order to be able to listen to it without it stopping every 2 minutes. Especially in the car, as I can't pick up my phone to restart the app while driving.... so I have to wait to hit a red light in order to restart it....

For the most part, it is an awesome app for listening to audiobooks. There is a change I would like to see made in order to give it 5 stars. I would like to be able to purchase new audiobooks in the app itself as opposed to needing to use the website. It's not a huge deal but it'd make buying easier for me and I buy a lot of audiobooks. Edit: They have added In-app purchasing. 5 stars
