AuraCast Weather turns your daily forecast into a natural spoken briefing, generated right on your phone with Gemma 4 and a real neural voice. No account, no cloud AI calls for the report itself.

• Current, 48-hour hourly and 5-day forecast (Open-Meteo + NWS) with beautiful Meteocons animated icons
• AI weather podcast — Gemma 4 runs on-device via LiteRT-LM, read aloud with neural TTS; pick and preview your favorite voice in Settings
• Animated precipitation radar — RainViewer + NWS tiles on a free OSM base map (osmdroid) with Coil-backed overlay and play/pause + scrub (40-min loop)
• On-device translation into 58 languages via ML Kit — models download once, then work offline with no server round-trip
• Severe-weather alerts & daily briefing notifications (WorkManager + FCM)

Privacy first
Your AI report never leaves your device — forecast numbers are fed to a local model on your phone. The only network calls are for fetching the forecast and radar imagery. Crash diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics/Performance) use an anonymous install ID, and ads (AdMob) follow Google’s Advertising ID policies with UMP consent where required.
