About this app

ap37 is a text-based launcher that allows to change most of its source code at runtime from inside the launcher itself.

In short, ap37 tries to take users back to the beginnings of the Web, when everyone was encouraged to create their own website with a simple text editor, but this time applied to apps.

Just WOW, using WebView as launcher, man I had a field day with customising it and have 2 layer UI now with digital rain, glitch effects, world clock, julian calendar, weather, unix time, everything on screen and then have a color based 2nd layer that has all the apps and does a little text animation before it launches. Thank you so much for making this app and this ingenious idea of using this and anyone could just write a js script!

Just one thing, there should be an option to lock the edited code. Sometimes it happens that the code by mistake gets disturbed by someone though I had saved my edited one but then too again and again re-pasting the code is not the best option. So just an option to lock the code. Other from that it is an ultimate app, great work.

What’s new

- Add support for getting the device screen rounded corners size. Adjust default script text position to not be hidden by them.
- Android 13 stopped allowing external apps to access files in the Android/data/ directory. Saved source files are now stored in the Android/media/ directory.
- Increase targetSdk to 36.
