About this app

AutoM8 runs the work and the vehicles on one system. This is the mobile half of it, built for people who spend the day in a van rather than at a desk.

You sign in with an account your employer creates. There is no public sign-up.


For drivers and engineers

Today shows the jobs assigned to you, in order. Open one for the address, the history, the parts and what the customer asked for. Add photos, fill in the worksheet, take a signature on the screen, close it out.

Walkaround checks happen on the phone. Defects go straight to whoever fixes them.

Timesheets and expenses too. Photograph the receipt when you are handed it, not three weeks later at the kitchen table.

For managers and office staff

Every vehicle on one map, refreshed every few seconds. Journeys, drivers, and who is closest to the next job.

Tachograph data and a compliance calendar for the dates that catch people out. Vehicle maintenance. Stock, suppliers, purchase orders and stock takes. Quotes and invoices. Reports you can put on a schedule.


It keeps working without signal

Underground car parks. Rural lanes. A customer's basement. Jobs, checks, photos and timesheets are written to the phone and sent up when the signal returns. Nothing is lost waiting for a bar of 4G.


Using the phone as a tracker

If your employer enables it, AutoM8 can record journeys from your phone's location while the app is closed or not in use. This uses more battery. Your employer controls whether it is on and can see the journeys it records.


Signing in

Sign in with your work email, then with your face or fingerprint after that if your device supports it.

AutoM8 is from Scorpion Automotive, 50 years building connected vehicle technology, part of the Scorpion Group. We write the software and we fit and support the hardware.

Which features you see depends on what your employer has enabled and the permissions on your account.
