Plato (427 BC - 347 BC) was an ancient Greek philosopher from Athens, the most well-known Socrates student and Aristotle's teacher. His work in the form of philosophical dialogues has been preserved in its entirety (even a few works of art are attributed to it); it has exerted enormous influence on ancient Greek philosophy and, more generally, on Western philosophical tradition to our day. The main builder of philosophy, a leader or a precursor of its later beings, inspired directly or indirectly the most important sociopolitical visions. Plato, among other things, wrote the Sacratus 'Apology, which is regarded as a relatively accurate account of Socrates' apology in the trial that condemned him to death, the Symposium where he speaks of the nature of love, the "Protagoras" in theory, the principle of "prevention" that does not take the penalty as absolutely "reciprocal", Parmenides and Theaite, where it establishes the objectivity of reason and idea, while in two long dialogues, the State and the Laws described the ideal state.
