AI Frnd lets you use your phone by speaking to it. It is an accessibility tool for people who cannot use a touchscreen reliably: people with low vision who cannot read small text or find a button, people with tremor, arthritis or weak grip, and people with other motor impairments who cannot make precise taps.
Say its name, then say what you want.
HOW AI FRND USES THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE
AI Frnd uses Android's AccessibilityService API so that someone who cannot touch the screen can still operate the phone. You turn it on yourself in Settings → Accessibility → "AI Frnd device control". Only when you give a voice command, it:
• reads the words on the screen aloud, including words inside a picture, for people who cannot see them
• presses buttons, scrolls and goes back to Home for people who cannot tap precisely
• answers, ends and puts calls on speaker, and stops a ringing alarm
• locks the phone and opens the power menu
• notices the power or volume button while a call rings, only to stop reading the caller's name aloud
AI Frnd does not save or upload what is on your screen, and does not use this service for advertising or analytics.
WHAT YOU CAN SAY
Calls — "hi, call amma", answer, hang up, speaker, mute. It only ever dials when you actually say "call", so ordinary conversation can never start one by accident.
Alarms and timers — "hi, alarm in 10 minutes", "hi, wake me at 6 am", "hi, stop the alarm".
Your day — meetings, notifications and the time, read out loud. Tap the microphone on the Today card and say an appointment to put it in your calendar.
Notes — keep a list by talking. Say them one after another and it writes them all down, then reads them back.
Camera — photos and selfies, counted down three-two-one so you are ready.
Apps — open and close anything, and have whatever is on the screen read aloud, including words inside a picture.
Maths — say the numbers and it adds them up.
The phone itself — torch, volume, brightness, silent mode, locking, and casting the screen to a television.
Find your phone — "hi, where is my phone" rings it even on silent, and a big STOP button waits on the screen for when you find it.
TELUGU
Choose Lite and the whole app speaks Telugu — the commands you say and the answers you hear. Notes, apps, alarms, timers, volume and sums all work in Telugu, including numbers spoken as words.
BUILT TO BE UNDERSTOOD
There is a picture guide inside the app showing what to press and where. Every command family has its own colour, so you can find things without reading. Nothing important is hidden behind small text.
It only answers to its name. In between, it is not listening to you.
Use your phone by talking to it. Calls, alarms, notes and more, by voice.
