Used to work fine even if the ads were annoying but when I tried it on my new phone it deleted files I didn't select, including all my photos, audio, downloads... yet it didn't delete the photos in the trash. I am very upset and have found no way to recover those important files. It even deleted my backup file. edit to say that I did double check and review the list before cleaning.

The app is not able to delete anything by itself. When you tap the Quick clean button, the review screen lists all of the item types that can be cleaned. There are two categories: "Unneeded files" (truly dispensable data) and "Files to review" (data that may or may not be valuable to you). We recommend reviewing these items. More on our FAQ site.
