About this app

This application includes all medicinal products authorized in Spain and its purpose is to provide information on each of them. Medicines, whose marketing authorizations have been revoked, remain for information 5 years. In the case of those medicines whose authorization has been temporarily suspended during the suspension remain. There may be a lag between the emergence of this new situation in CIMA and the date has been effective the new authorization status.

Among many other data, and as more important by picking the conditions of use of medicines authorized documents, the application provides access to the data sheet (or summary of product characteristics) and prospects.

The data sheet is a document containing the description of the drug, indications, dosage, precautions and contraindications, adverse reactions, pharmaceutical data and properties of the drug.

This document is the result of scientific technique that makes the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products on all scientific information submitted by holders of requests for authorization of medicinal evaluation. The sheet forms part of the authorization granted to the Agency a drug.

The content of the technical data is updated during the marketing of the drug in order to include new information becomes available, always with new evaluation and authorization by the Agency.

The data sheet is exclusively directed to the health professional.

For patients and other users, the application provides access to the latest version of the approved prospectus, which is the document that is included in the box of the drug and whose purpose is to inform the patient.

The electronic publication of technical specifications and prospects responds to our desire to provide health professionals and other citizens, respectively, official information on medicines.

The Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products is not responsible for illegal, improper, or manipulation of the content and information of this software application use. Both access to this application, and the use made of the information and contents thereof, it shall be the sole responsibility of the person performing.

 For each drug the following information and documents include:
 • Drug Name
• Name of the active ingredient
• Name of the holder of the marketing authorization
• National code
•Registry number
• Authorization date
• Name of the presentation
• Status of submission: Authorized / temporarily suspended / revoked
Data on prescription and use conditions
• The need for prescription and type
• Driving Warning Symbol
• (health professionals) Technical
• Prospectus (non-health citizens)

La interfaz está un poco descuidada pero la aplicación cumple su función perfectamente. Ya era hora que pudieramos tener una aplicación de este tipo controlada por la Agencia Española de Medicamentos. Enhorabuena. Una mejora rápida que se podría aplicar es a la hora de visualizar cualquier prospecto que no se descargue el PDF sino que directamente se visualice en la pantalla, y la descarga que se deje para otra opción.

Me parece muy interesante la idea pero la aplicación es bastante mala. Poco diseño y mucho html...
