The app allows you to scan any UPC/EAN barcode to check whether the product is vegan-friendly, vegetarian-friendly and whether or not the product contains palm oil. The app is great if you’re interested in eliminating animal products from your diet.

IsVe? is a 100% independent application. All product evaluations and recommendations are completely objective: no brand or manufacturer can influence them in one way or another. In addition, the application does not advertise. Find out more about our funding on our website.

IsVe? is simple to use. All you have to do is scan your UPC barcode on the package of any food or drink product. You will then see;

1. The UPC code of the product that was scanned
2. If the product is suitable for Vegans or not
3. If the product is suitable for Vegetarians or not
4. If the product contains Palm Oil or not
5. You will also see a list of individual ingredients and whether they are
suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Ratings and reviews

I went through my whole flat scanning items and nothing that I had is in the app. You need to have someone (or something) that scans for information across thenibgernwt and not just what's saved in the app.

not very many products. i mostly wanted it for products that arent clearly labeled, but if you cant tell from the label, the app cant either. so its kinda pointless unless you are blind (not a joke, i think this might genuinely work for blind people so they can use a screen reader)

Doesn't recognise half the barcodes I scan, doesn't have much info on the ones it does recognise, and has no option to manually search for products.
