About this app

Relay is a fast, private messenger that runs on PINs instead of phone numbers. Sign in with Google, get your 8-character PIN, and start chatting with anyone who shares their PIN with you. That's it. No SIM card. No address-book scraping. No mining your contacts.
WHAT YOU GET
• PIN identity — every Relay user has a short, easy-to-share PIN. Add someone by typing their PIN. They never see your phone number.
• Real-time chats — text, photos, videos, ★ PINGs (the classic "hey, look at me now" alert), edit and recall messages.
• Group chats — gather a few friends with one tap, no committee required.
• Status updates — short text statuses appear under your name to everyone who has you as a contact. No followers, no algorithm.
• Push notifications — opt in once; we'll wake you when someone messages you and the app is closed.
• Sports alerts (optional)
• Classic theme — a retro pin-messenger skin you can flip on from Profile if you miss the early-2010s look.
WHAT WE DON'T DO
• No AI. No "smart replies", no message scanning, no chatbots. Your conversations are between you and the people in them.
• No ads (during Beta). When Relay reaches 1.0 we'll add optional ads with a subscription to remove them. Beta testers will be notified first.

Relay is in active development. Things will change. Feedback is welcome through the in-app sign-in flow or by emailing the address in the Privacy Policy. By installing this build you're joining the small group helping us shape Relay before it goes wide.
