The Aviel TMS Mobile App works in tandem with the Aviel TMS Web Application and provides Transportation Companies with the ability to receive instant updates from their drivers. In other words, the mobile app allows drivers to provide updates on their work, communicate with Aviel TMS web users about different facets of their work, and provide location updates that help the business determine their estimated time of arrival.
Location Access Requirements
It is crucial for Transportation Companies to receive regular updates regarding the driver’s location. This allows them to compute accurate estimated times of arrival of their shipments and identify delays promptly. The primary source of drivers’ locations are ELDs. However, when work is contracted to outside carriers, this information is not available and that’s where this Aviel TMS feature is vital. Location updates need to run in the background while the driver is on the road.
