CLASSIC

Find more words before the clock—and your built-in rival—beats you. Choose Easy, Medium, Hard, or Expert, set your timer, and play on 4x4, 5x5, or 6x6 grids.

Go for a quick score or keep returning to beat your high score, longest word, and level records.

WORD QUEST

Every board has its own secrets. Find the ones the quest asks for.

Each board comes with five achievable goals based on the words, letters, and patterns actually available there. Hunt for useful words, long paths, repeated or rare letters, corners, patterns, and other challenges unique to that board.

Complete goals for bonus points and earn skill badges as different word-finding abilities improve. Words Chime can recommend quests based on the skills worth strengthening next.

Daily Word Quest gives everyone the same board and five fixed goals for the day. Set your official result, then replay the board for practice without replacing that score.

ROOT QUEST

Start with a clue. Uncover the family.

Follow meaning-based clues and search the grid for related words. Find enough members of the family before your built-in rival claims them.

Every completed family joins your collection. Meet those families again in future games and progress them from Learning to Strong to Mastered.

Root Quest Daily offers a shared solo challenge with three stars to earn and a streak to keep alive.

Ratings and reviews

I second what others have said regarding the colour scheme: IT IS CRAPPPY!! Also, it would be really nice NOT to have to chose difficulty levels every time you play it. I bet most of us stick to using a specific one, and if we ever wished to change it, doing it so under 'settings' would be a much smarter choice, wouldn't it? Finally, the Word of the Day feature is quite useless as it is. Why? Well, because they're just everyday words, not challenging obscure words as any real word of the day worth their salt should be! As it is, I'm simply blocking it from displaying any notification whatsoever, via a blocking app, as the app itself doesn't allow us to toggle it off! I think all these quirks show how naive the developer seem to be in not realising what most of his app's users are after when they download it from the Play Store: a plain honest Boggle clone and nothing else! So stop trying to reinvent the wheel: keep it simple! And if you feel like implementing some wacky features in the future, it's my opinion you would be much better off creating another app instead of piling up just another unwelcome change onto this one!

I loved the old version but am very disappointed with the changes made. It's much harder to track how many words can be made, the grid colour is harder on the eyes and the general layout is clumsy. ,

Nice game, but it gets tedious having to restart it several times to get layouts without unplayable areas. Also, during quick play, some letters aren't set back to the default color.
