Every drawer on the aircraft, one search away.
Avitail is a cabin inventory app for business jet crews. A flight attendant who has never set foot on the aircraft can find anything aboard in a few letters, and so can the crew who stocked it and forgot which drawer. The whole aircraft lives on the device, so it works the same at altitude with the signal off.
Find it
Search tells you where a thing is before you open anything: forward galley, upper cabinets, middle door, with a photo of each place along the way. Or browse the aircraft the way you would walk it, galley to cabinet to drawer to bin. Or open the cabin map, every storage space pinned on a photo of your own cabin, and point at the place instead of reading its name.
Find out on the ground
Set a minimum on the things you cannot be without and Avitail flags them when they drop under it. Add expiry dates and it warns you while there is still time to use what you have. Both land on the home screen and in one daily notification, so restocking happens before the trip from the usual supplier, not on the day from whoever is nearest.
Entry without the typing
Photograph a shelf and Avitail reads back what is on it, a cabinet at a time rather than a line at a time. Or talk through the galley while you stow, and it writes up the items and the spaces you put them in. Either way you get a list of proposed changes to approve or discard. Nothing reaches the aircraft until a crew member says so.
No signal, no difference
Browse it, search it, edit it and photograph it at FL450 with the Wi-Fi off. Whatever you change is saved on the spot and catches up on its own once you are back in range. There is no button to press when you land.
Everyone sees the same aircraft
Invite the crew and set who can change what. Every edit carries a name and a time, so "I thought we restocked that" has an answer. The crew coming on next sees what you left, not a spreadsheet emailed three trips ago.
For a flight department, a relief crew who has never seen the aircraft can work it from the first hour, and the inventory stops living in one person's head. Add whoever does the buying and they can check what is aboard before ordering more of it, without calling the crew.
Passenger Mode
Hand a cabin device an access code and it can search the aircraft but change nothing. A principal can check whether their brand is aboard without pulling you out of the galley. Access ends the moment you say so.
Avitail runs on Android phones and tablets, and on the crew's iPads too, and every device sees the same aircraft. Sign in with Google, Apple or an email address.
