The A+W iShape is an add-on for A+W CAD Designer (Shapes). It enables the digitization of shaped sheets (not rectangular sheets) using a smartphone and L-shaped reference objects. The reference objects, are placed on the template or fastened to it. They will be automatic detected on the template and serve to make additional configuration unnecessary when photographing. After the photo is taken, the photo is processed in a background service. A high-precision smoothing algorithm converts the photo into arcs and straight lines, which is used for further processing.
