About this app

Transcriptor turns your recordings into text right on your phone, without sending them to any server. Record a meeting, a class or a voice note and get the transcript, with each person separated, plus a summary of what matters.

RECORD AND TRANSCRIBE OFFLINE
• Record with one tap and pause whenever you like, also from the home screen widgets or Quick Settings.
• Transcription happens on your phone, with a high-accuracy speech recognition model, in the language of each recording, among 25.
• Import audio and video from your files, or share them from other apps such as WhatsApp.
• Record the sound of other apps, such as a video or a podcast.
• If your phone saves call recordings to a folder, Transcriptor picks up the new ones to transcribe them.
• It only needs a connection the first time, to download the models.
• It lets you know when it’s done if you’re not in the app.

KNOWS WHO SAID WHAT
• Separates each person in the conversation.
• Name each one, and merge two speakers if they’re the same person.
• Listen to the audio with the word being spoken highlighted in the transcript.
• Fix a sentence, change who said it, or delete it.

AI SUMMARIES
• With Gemma, by Google, right on your phone: key points, decisions and tasks, with who’s responsible if it’s mentioned in the conversation.
• The appointments mentioned (what, when and with whom), to add them to your calendar with one tap.
• Tap to hear the moment each decision or task was said.
• Requires a phone with 6 GB of memory or more, and downloading the summary model (2.6 GB).

ORGANIZE YOUR NOTES
• Keep them in folders and find them in the calendar or with search, which also looks inside transcripts and summaries.

EXPORT AND SHARE
• The summary or transcript as text, subtitles in SRT, or the audio: share them with other apps.
• Copy the summary or transcript to paste it anywhere.

PRIVACY
Your recordings, transcripts and summaries are stored on your phone. No accounts, no ads, no tracking. If you prefer, keep only the transcript: the audio is deleted once it’s transcribed.
